iPhone XR not charging all the way

I don’t know why but when I’m sleep my phone only charges to 80%. I have all apps closed and my brightness low even when I tried powering off the phone and charging it that still didn’t work.

Check out the following Apple Support article:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't charge

If your device stopped charging at 80 percent

Your iPhone might get slightly warmer while it charges. To extend the lifespan of your battery, if the battery gets too warm, software might limit charging above 80 percent. Your iPhone will charge again when the temperature drops. Try moving your iPhone and charger to a cooler location. (or remove the case)

As your XR is still under warranty, if none of the steps in the article help, then make an appointment at your local Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
