iPad Settings > Contacts: No Default Account


My contacts will not sync/do not appear on a new iPad Pro10.5 running iOS 12.2.


  • Settings > Passwords & Accounts: iCloud contacts and a Google account contacts selected
  • Settings > Contacts: No Default Account
  • Settings Contacts > "My Info" provides only a blank contact list


My setup is the same as on my iPhone using iCloud contacts and the Google account contacts which has all been syncing with two Macs.


I'm at a loss for what to try next.

Resolved.


Reviewing again each of the device configurations, I found that the iPhone had a different default account. Changing that seems to be what corrected the sync problem.
