Signature has no content.

I have lost the ability to edit my signature in email. When I click on preferences, the signature block opens, but it is empty. If I use the drop down within email and select "edit signatures" a blank box opens with no content to edit.

Apple Mail signatures won't save When I input a signature, it disappears the next time I open the Mail application. I've already tried recommendations from other threads, such as turning off the iCloud email before entering the signature. Signatures have not saved for my iCloud email, nor my work email account

Signature HELP: When I click on "preference" in Mail, the Signature menu looks like this. No options. I want to insert a signature into one of my Mail accounts... any ideas?
