So recently I noticed that I'm not able to play a lot of m4a files on iTunes anymore. They work fine if I open them with other programs, but not iTunes. I changed the file extension to mp3 and even reinstalled the program, but nothing seems to work. They used to work fine for several months, not sure why it's a problem now. Any ideas how to fix it?

There appears to be a bug with the way iTunes 12.9.4.102 handles certain aac/m4a files made by other software. The easiest workaround if affected in my opinion is to uninstall all components of iTunes and reinstall iTunes 12.9.3.3.
