Your XS Max isn't compatible with the network that you are using in Indonesia. The best possible solution is to visit nearest Apple Store and get your iPhone configured with the network that you are using.
There may be chance that you are living in busy or dense area where signals are blocked due to noise and destruction. Try switching the area. If it worked then you need a carrier that works in area where you living and if that doesn't work then follow step 1.

With respect the iPhone does work so point one is not needed. Just have a poor signal suggested that. The second point is valid and a good call!
