Hello, i'm on a laptop on OS X El Captain and just want to open a keynote file i was sent. I went to update my keynote in the app store but when i click on it, the loading icon just continues to spin. please help. why is this happening? thank you

Keynote in the Mac App Store now requires macOS High Sierra or later. See if you can sign into iCloud.com and use Keynote for iCloud to open your .key document.

As I stated, Keynote v9.0.1 in the Mac App Store requires High Sierra, not Sierra installed before you can download it.
