Local Items Keychain

What is “Local Items” Keychain? It keeps asking for password but obviously doesn’t want current one.

Keychain passwords Is the "local Items" keychain password the same as my Macbook password? I've entered my Macbook password and it works sometimes and not other times in trying to see my saved passwords. I'm running latest version of Ventura.

keychain i need to understand what turning on keychain means. does somehow Apple knows all my logins and passwords for every app?
