Startup Security Utility

Hi try to enable boot from external devices but there is no option, just firmware password. there is an admin account but still no options to allow to see those settings when booting using cmd + R option.

If I setup a password for firmware it works but no other options for allow or disable Secure Boot or External Boot. there are missing from the window. I format, reset and did all kind of troubleshooting but it just does not shows for selection. This is happening in 2019 with T2 chip. Any Help.

Ps. Also try on an MacBook Pro 15"and same thing.

iMac 27" 5K, macOS 10.14

This support article about the T2 chip (published Feb 2019) says it's in the iMac Pro, but doesn't mention the iMac.

(Apple tech specs for both the Pro and the standard iMac don't appear to mention the T2 chip at all.)

A quick way to find out if your iMac has a T2 chip is to hold down your Alt/Option key, click the Apple menu, choose System Information and look under Hardware for Controller or iBridge (this is a MacBook Pro and has Controller):

Cheers,
