iCloud deleted photos

Purchased a new iPhone X and used iCloud to put previous pictures on new phone. Before I traded in my iPhone 7, I deleted photos off that device. I didn't notice that the OLD phone was still connected to iCloud and started removing pictures off my iPhone X and the iPhone 7. The deleted photos are not showing up in the iCloud. What do i do to recover?

iPhone X, iOS 12

Look for an album in Photos called recently deleted. Your photos "should" be held there for 30 days before being permanently deleted.
