changing admin account

I configurated my new iMac for admin A.

I migrated all documents form a timemachine backup (user B), deleted the admin A and renamed the user from B to A as explained in https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT201548.

Everything works, but Google Earth and Dropbox refer to the old admin B folder which doesn't exist any more. I have accesss by Safari, the Dropbox folders are in my user-folderr, but the Dropbox app doesn't find them and the app rejects the installation.

I don't find any way to change this path.

How could I resolve this problem?

renaming user folder Hello guys, I am using a MacBook Pro Late 2012 with Sierra OS 10.12.6 Yesterday I tried to rename the user folder which is "Sebastian" by creating a new Admin User ("Nico"), then logging into "Nico" User, and then renaming the "Sebastian" folder. I actually only followed the first three steps of this tutorial: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201548 but now when I Log back into the previous user, all the data is still there but everything looks differently and the Sebastian folder is empty. Yet the data is there in a new folder which has the target name I wanted to rename it to. Please help me, the biggest problem is that user settings such as wallpaper and my desk aren't there anymore.. thanks in advance!

Cannot delete an empty Admin file When I was migrating from my old Mac Mini to my new iMac, I had to create a new user and then deleted it. Now I have an empty Admin folder that I don't need and I cannot delete because it says: The operation can’t be completed because the item “Data” is in use. The operation can’t be completed because the item “com.apple.mail” is in use. The operation can’t be completed because the item “Containers” is in use. The operation can’t be completed because the item “Library” is in use. The operation can’t be completed because the item “Admin1” is in use. I am unable to search for the above, and the file is not shared and not locked. I have Read and Write access to the file. I just want to delete the bloody thing. ThanksI
