All of a sudden i opened my calendar to look up some old doc appointments- and all of my 2018 events have been deleted! Ive tried synching, I’ve tried re choosing iCloud backup (it was always backed up but i toggled from off and on again) and nothing seems to work- I desperately need these events. Is there another way of retrieving them?

Hello. Have you checked the sync settings? Open up the Settings app and go to Calendar > Sync to see if it is set to sync events to a suitable time period.
