Are there any good lightning iPhone adaptors that allow for charging and 3.5mm headphone use? The one on apple.com has terrible reviews and it sounds like they all fail.

Use a double dongle. Buy them from the stores directly because on the website they get thrown around in shipping boxes.

I don't think that one will allow 3.5 mm headphones for phone calls while charging, no matter where you are at.
So you can use 3.5mm earbuds with a mic for a phone call with this dock? Most of the chargers only allow music listening....
Yes, I use the earbuds that came with the iPhone with a mic and I can make/receive calls.
