Issues with text messages to android

I have a couple friends that have an android and they are unable to receive my messages and I cannot receive theirs. I've restarted the phone and turned iMessage on and off and still not working.

iPhone 8, iOS 12

Messages to Android phones are SMS. This is a carrier feature. Reach out to them for help.
