Screen protector

As MichelPM points out, no one really needs a screen protector on any iOS device. Need is subjective. If you throw your iPad about and place it unprotected in a bag for example, with other loose objects, like car keys, a screen protector may be of value to you. If you are beyond careful with your iPad, a screen protector may not be a prime need.

You do not NEED a screen protector with ANY iDevice.

This is entirely up to you if you want to use one.

I own 3 iPads and have never used nor needed a screen protector any of my iPads.

The choice is yours.
