Can you delete the value labels in a chart?

MacOS 10.14.4

Pages 8.0

I am trying to make a chart, but I don't want the Y-axis value labels to appear on the chart (the numbers are completely arbitrary, and all I'm trying to show is a general trend). I can reduce it down to one number (the highest) but I can't delete or hide that number.

Double-clicking the value labels and pressing delete does nothing.

The background is not a solid color so changing the color of the text cannot hide the value.

Currently the workaround is to duplicate background, bring it to the front and crop it over the one value I want hidden. But that seems like a lot of work for something so simple sounding as deleting the value label.

Any other thoughts/suggestions would be welcome.

Hi Wesley,

I don't know what chart (graph) you are using, but this may set you on the path to a solution to your question.

Click on the graph to make it active.

Format Panel > Axis > Value (Y) > Value Labels > None

Regards,

Ian.
