Can't print from LaserJet printer anymore

I have an HP LaserJet printer I've had for several years, great printer. Since the last few updates Mohave etc. I can no longer print. Says, Printing - sending data to printer for about 8 seconds, then displays 'stopped - filter failed' and will not print. Anyone have this problem, if so, any solutions, I hate to have to buy another printer. LaserJet CP1025nw

This "Accepted Solution" on HP's website should work.


I can find nothing wrong with those instructions. Follow them to the letter, including updating the printer's firmware, but add resetting your wireless router or access point to them.


You do not need to download any drivers. None are required for AirPrint.


Your router comprises an essential link in the AirPrint communications chain, so it's possible its firmware needs an update also.

Have you contacted HP support?


Have you checked their website for updated driver?


Have you tried both wired and wireless?

I went thru their Virtual whatever, have not spoken with anyone as yet, the printer is out of warranty of course, I'm sure they will want a house payment to help fix the issue. Just want to exhaust everything before resorting to speaking to them. No updated drivers. Yes, wired and wireless, get the same message for both. HP does not have any additional drivers for using with Mojave. The printer is in great shape, it prints excellent (when able to print). I don't understand it. Thanks for helping.
