Why when i import 4k videos from my ipad or iphone only the audio works? the videos always show black
Don’t understand why you’re not seeing the video. Use Shift-Cmd-R to find a clip on the computer and open it in the QuickTime player. Does it play properly?

What OS and FCP versions are you using? Is the video shot in HEVC?
I just updated to the last version available. The videos are in HEVC
I'm using 2017 IMac
Please give the FCP software version and the macOS version.

Good. How are you importing the video? Does the process complete with the eject notification?
I just connect my iPad in my computer using lighting cables, then go to import, choose the videos and then import. I always have the message saying that the video is imported with success.
I uninstall the Fc and reinstall. Now it’s working fine.
