What is a .APDisk file (working from NAS via SMBv3) and how do I stop them from being created.

Looking to see if anyone has any technical information on what EXACTLY a .apdisk file is and how to stop mac from creating it. I have gone through and deleted them all but they keep coming back.

This is causing havoc in an AD environment. The machine creates these files and does so NOT as the AD user. Thus, when an admin goes in a tries setting permissions, they get stopped on that one file as the admin of that share does not have permission.

I am NOT Looking for troubleshooting. I need to understand what that file is and how to stop it from being created.
