Payment methods

When I try to put a debit/credit card into my Apple ID, it says that the payment method was declined and that I need to enter valid payment information. I’ve gone through and checked all my information several times, and it’s all correct. I even tried using a friends card and it said the exact same thing when I put theirs in. I can still use my card in Apple Pay, just not in App Store or Apple Music. Thing is, I can’t download anything. I can’t download new/free apps/songs and I can’t download things I had already downloaded, but deleted. Anyone have any solutions?

People have been posting problems when trying to add payment methods.

Apple ID payment information - If your payment method is declined, or you have a billing issue with a previous purchase in the iTunes Store

If necessary, contact iTunes Support. Either use the form or scroll to the bottom of the page in the 2nd link. Follow through the screens to get a chat or telephone option.
