Numbers file thumbnails are the generic Numbers icon

Numbers works just fine, except all the icons for the files are generic Numbers icons and when you activate quick look on the file, it does not show a preview ... showing index and metadata folders and three preview jpegs. Nothing changed even after clearing the quick look cache.

The same is true for Pages and Keynote ... every file reverted to the generic app icon and quick look reveals subfolders and preview jpegs... is this an iWork glitch?

That likely is more a problem with QuickLook than Numbers per se.

Have you tried--

-- shutting down your machine and restarting?

-- uninstalling Numbers (in Launchpad hold down the <option> key until the icons wiggle and click the x) and redownloading it from the Mac App Store?

If that doesn't work then you may need to learn more about fixing QuickLook. Perhaps the solution can be found on this page.
