iTunes and flac/wav
I upload my music in formats flac and wav. What is quality sound when I listen music in player "Music" or Vox in my car (Apple car play)? I mean iTunes makes quality the same (wav) or changes quality sound?

From this article it seems you don’t just have to consider the “player” (ie the App) but also how the sound is finally outputted to whatever system you are using to hear the music.

The default Apple Music App appears to have a limit of 16bit/44.1 or 48kHz which is basically CD quality and the Lightning Port (internal DAC) and/or Lightning to 3.5 adapter is good for 24/48kHz.
So if you play 24bit/196kHz HiRes files using a third party player unless you bypass the Apple DAC’s (ie use a third party one) the files will be converted back down to 24bit/48kHz before outputted to the system.
Although the above article doesn’t cover Wireless or Bluetooth it appears they will be no better than 16bit/44.1kHz largely due to the use of AAC codec.
Of course it depends on what you call HiRes, if it’s at 24bit/48kHz then Vox via cable from Lightning Port to 3.5mm adapter will be fine, all bets are off though if you are Wireless streaming.
The above is how I understand the limits to audio quality when playing music from the iPhone, but as every if others can fill in any gaps or correct the above I will not be offended😉

Hm. Vox used to do this back in the days I was using it.
If you copy FLAC-files via iTunes to Vox, it doesn't convert them and files stay in the same quality.
Built-in Music app can't play FLAC, but can play ALAC.
Vox should display you the quality of the song you are listening to.
Are you using Apple Music or do you sync music to your iPhone with a cable?
Vox don't show quality.
I uploaded my music in iTunes with cable.
I bought iphone a couple days ago. I just want to understand how this works.)
