Ah... dell. I know they come preinstalled with the Store app
and it doesn't work with iCloud yet. Check File, Office Account (or
Account in Word & Excel) - next to About, does it say Windows Store
or Click to run?
if it says click to run, do you have two links to the office apps on the
start menu? if so, you have two versions installed and should remove
the store version from Settings, App & features - more information

if you have the store version and a subscription (rather than just a
trial), log into office.com with your account - after verifying there is
a link to install from office.com, uninstall the store version and
install the click to run from office.com.
