Sync receive error Outlook 365 and iCloud

Outlook 365 on Windows 10 fully updated recently getting a send receive error for icloud 0x800CCCEOE.

Have stepped through all the suggestions on the Apple pages here (on/off icloud components, verify not default, verify app, restart etc) still get the error.

Next step would be remove the icloud address mailbox and start over I suppose...risk?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Will check back since I can't get mail :(

Figured it out!

One has to go to the apple id site and scroll down to the "app specific password" page.

Create that

Copy and paste THAT password into outlook, not your apple password.

Works like a charm
