Lost phone question

I lost my phone in the woods and put a lost phone lock on it, then purchased a new phone and transfered my info to it from the cloud. Should I erase what is on my old phone and if so, how do I do that?

You can if you want to. There's no real pressing need to do so.

Erasing is done the same way you put the lost phone lock on.

log in to iCloud.com or use the find my iPhone App on your new iPhone click on the iPhone, and then on "Erase" .

Note that erasing it will cause it to no longer be trackable, and is basically giving up on ever finding it again.
