I know I can bring up an ios app via search, however I would like to know which "page" that specific app is on my phone, rather than having to swipe through each page to find it....is there a simple way I'm missing?

If the app is in a folder, that information will appear in the search, however if it is just on a page, there is no information about that available. You would just have to swipe through them.

Never knew the folder piece...now on to building folders!
That will also help to minimize the number of pages you have apps on. Arrange them in logical folders that contain like apps, and things will work much smoother.
