Im trying to free up space on my 128gb SD card that I use for my Go Pro I can not upload any of the .MP4 Files to iCloud or any other videos for that matter. There are videos on my phone that are visible, playable and downloadable but I can not upload these videos and use iCloud as storage for them... am I missing something here? is the .mp4 file format supported or not?

Are you trying to save the files on iCloud Drive, or are you trying to import them to iCloud Photos Library? You should be able to save any file on iCloud Drive, as long the file size is smaller than 50GB.
But you cannot save all kinds of videos in iCloud Photos Library. The codec of the video should be compatible with Photos.

iCloud Drive can only hold files up to 50GB on macOS 10.14 Mojave. Previously the limit used to be 15GB. What is the file size of the videos?
Thanks for the reply Leonie I’m trying to import directly into the photos library. It also says the file size needs to be smaller.. I forget the size
