Mixing audio. More efficient way to overlap dialogue audio?

I'm always double-click opening the dialogue audio, then dragging out head and tail and manually doing the cross-fade up and down ... to get seamless audio through the clips.

Just wondering if there is some keystroke pattern that would automate this procedure? So that, perhaps, I could highlight half a dozen clips, hit a key stroke, and the audio would be opened and auto cross-faded one clip to the next?

Just wondering?
