How do I get "Mac Cleanup Pro" pop up off my system?

This bogus software won't leave me alone; i have not downloaded it, but the pop up won't go away. How do I get rid of the pop up?

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.12

Something else you can try.

Force quit Safari from the  menu and reopen with the shift key held down. If that doesn’t work, disconnect from the Internet, delete the web site from History, open Safari, and then reconnect to the Internet. See link for other suggestions.
