iPhone Backup

My iPhone storage says it has 3.5 GB of back up storage on my iPhone but I have no idea what from. I don’t have very many apps, pictures or contacts on my phone. My phone won’t back up either. I only want my contacts and photos backed up. Please help. Thank you.
