How to share Photos library to Apple TV

I am simply trying to share my photos library to my apple TV 4K so that I can have all of our photos wizzing around on the TV when we aren't actively watching TV.

I have tried the following....

"Launch that application on your Mac, choose File > Home Sharing > Choose Photos to Share With Apple TV. In the Photo Sharing Preferences window that appears enable the Share Photos From option and then be sure that iPhoto is selected from the pop-up menu next to it."

BUT it isn't a choice as the screenshot below shows.....

I want to choose the photos library not the photos folder which has all my GoPro images and videos....

Might any of you kind souls know where it is that I'm messing up?

Any help would be great!

iPhoto has long since been discontinued and is no longer supported. Best to transfer to the Photos app or designate a folder that you can then share through iTunes.

Be aware that if using photos for the screensaver that only a small amount are cached for that function. If you want to view more then you can use the Computers app on Apple TV to view your full library via home sharing or you can use the Apple TV Photos app to view your library if you have iCloud Photo library enabled.
