Voice memos will not sync into Itunes anymore via USB cable

Hey guys!

I have an issue that has been going on for quite some time now. In the past my voice memos would automatically sync into the Voice memos playlist on my computer when I plugged my Iphone X via USB cable into my Mac. Now, suddenly, I can't for the life of me get Voice memos to sync into Itunes. When I plug my Iphone into Mac I can play the new voice memos under the phone-music section, but I can't sync them.

In the images below it seems like it's about to sync the memos into the playlist, but then the Voice Memos just grey out and after that disappear.

Does anybody have any solutions to this?
