Local snapshots keep Trash for maybe 24-48 hours.

From the the Time Machine icon>Enter Time Machine

About Time Machine local snapshots - Apple Support

Always advised to have a robust back up plan if you value your data:

"3-2-1 Backup Strategy" three copies of your data, two different methods, and one offsite.
