My phone has 3 alarms that have been set for many months, each with a different ring tone.
All of a sudden, the tones don't work. The alarm rings with just a ringing sound.
I've tried turning the phone off and back on. I've tried deleting the alarms and resetting them.
How can I fix this?

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to use custom tones for alarms, as it will play the default alarms. To help with this, make sure your iPhone is up to date, as the updates contain stability fixes that can resolve issues like yours, as well as important security updates to keep your iPhone safe.
