iPhone X paired to 2014 Chevy Silverado... calls come through but no noise or beeps for text alerts. A notification shows up on my phone screen but there’s no alert. How do I get alerts through truck audio system? “Do not disturb” setting is set to manual. And still doesn’t work. Any help??

All I want is an alert (text message alert) to notify me when I have a message. And I wanted the alert to go through my car audio system. I don’t want Siri or an automotive text response to people. Is this possible?
You will not hear alerts for anything when the phone is paired via bluetooth unless the audio system is 'tuned' to the bluetooth source. If you have it set to the radio, CD, etc. then you won't be able to hear alerts from apps.
