How do I reformat from JOURNALLED CASE-SENSITIVE to non case-sensitive on MacOS Mojave?

I tried to install Adobe Lightroom but the action was stopped due to case-sensitive drive not supported. How do I reformat or create a new image on MacBook Pro MacOS Mojave? Please help. Thank you.

case in-sensitive should be the default.

Boot into Recovery (Command R) and from the dropdown menu: Utilities>  Disk Utility>View>Show All Devices

(you may have to boot to Internet Recovery (option command R) to be able to proceed.

or

if you created a a bootable USBinstaller you can do it from there as well (option key while rebooting.)

You erase/reformat the parent drive GUID partiton table/ apfs as the file type and quit the Disk Utility. Then from this same Recovery you reinstall the macOS.
