turn off auto lock while using airplay

As a teacher I use my iPad a lot with AirPlay in the classroom. Doing that it is very frustrating, that the iPad automatically puts itself into sleep mode and disconnects from AirPlay, when I don't use it for some minutes.

At the same time I neither want to completely turn off the auto lock (for obvious reasons), nor do I want to have to turn it on and off before and after every class....

Is there a better solution?

iPad, iOS 12

Hello Oller_Mauser,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand from your post that you use AirPly a lot in your classroom but while using it it goes to sleep and you want to know if there is a better solution then to turn it completely off. I am happy to help.

The only suggestion I have is to turn the auto-lock off before using AirPlay and then maybe set yourself a reminder for when you are done using AirPlay to turn the auto-lock back on.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Have a great day!
