Unapproved Caller ... Mac Mojave issue (still)

After reinstalling (wiping desktop clean, reinstalling software manually because Time machine failed) I continually get "Unapproved Caller. SecurityAgent may only be invoked by Apple software." The computer freezes and I cannot do anything. I have to force restart. Then I restart again.

I have tried disk first aid, restarting SMC, Repairing library, resetting PRAM, running in Safe mode. Apple says there's nothing wrong!

Any suggestions?

Been there -- done that -- it still shows up after running in safe mode.

The other suggestion is something that caused me great concern because that started the entire issue initially... The other way to fix the unapproved caller error in Mac is to empty the contents of /var/folders/. But this option should only be used if you have the complete backup of the system. Also, you should not delete the random files if you don’t have the backup because a single file delete from here could corrupt the system and remove the OS X.

Apple suggested (by phone) that I remove specific files deep within the library when I was initially having issues with the Mojave update .4 - then everything started to fall apart. That's why I ended up wiping my computer clean. If I follow this suggestion of deleting the /var/folders/ I am concerned the same issue will begin all over again!

I assume by "Contents", they mean everything inside /var/folders/. I havent done this myself since i've never seen the error. Make sure you have a current backup in case.

I would also point out, the article said after booting in Safe Mode then normally…

"Once you boot your system in Safe mode and then boot it in the normal mode, this error will fade away as the system will get time to fix things and maintain the order."

Which means, the error won't immediately go away.
