i think i broke my MacBook pro ^^" (( Boot Camp Not Working any more and HDD Is total miss !! ))

hi

i think i did some thing wrong with my mac

first of all i`ve a MacBook Pro (late 2011) it was running Lion os (also there was a windows 7 installed throw BootCamp )i had problems with upgrading it to a higher OS .. so i removed windows from BCA then i installed ( El Capitan ) throw external USB and upgraded throw apple store to ( High Sierra )

from here start the problems first i deleted bootcamp drive throw terminal after that i found that i lost about 400GB from my HDD and i can't access it or even create a partition or anything after looking up in the internet i ended up disable core storage then i used this command to get back the lost storage ( diskutil resizeVolume disk0s2 R ) now i can't install windows again bootcamp is total miss and I'm sure there is some thing wrong with my HDD drives

when i run ( diskutil list ) in terminal i get this :-

Nasks-MacBook-Pro:~ Nask$ diskutil list
/dev/disk0 (internal, physical):
   #:                       TYPE NAME                    SIZE       IDENTIFIER
   0:      GUID_partition_scheme                        *500.1 GB   disk0
   1:                        EFI EFI                     209.7 MB   disk0s1
   2:                  Apple_HFS Macintosh HD            499.2 GB   disk0s2
   3:                 Apple_Boot Recovery HD             650.0 MB   disk0s3

when i run ( diskutil cs list ) in terminal i get this :-

Nasks-MacBook-Pro:~ Nask$ diskutil cs list
No CoreStorage logical volume groups found

when i run ( diskutil apfs list ) in terminal i get this :-

Nasks-MacBook-Pro:~ Nask$ diskutil apfs list
No APFS Containers found

here is a screenshot of my BootCamp Assistant

if i press continue i get this

i want to install window 10 if it possible on this mac if its not possible windows 7 will be ok

just help me please and thank you so much ..

High Sierra has issues with HFS partitioning. You can convert HFS to CS using

diskutil cs convert disk0s2

Once you have CS volume, on a 2011 Mac, you need to use a physical DVD to install W7/W8.1. W10 is not supported on your Mac. If you have an ISO, it can be burned to a DVD-R SL media at the lowest burn rate, by right-clicking the ISO, choosing Burn, and enabling Verify and Mount options.

so is everything normal now with my HDD and partitioning ?

Nice. This is now a CoreStorage volume.

also i want to install windows from a usb drive is thats possible or not ?

No, on a 2011 Mac you need to use the built-in Optical drive and physical DVD.

as i understood there should be 3 choices in bootcamp and i don't have the first one ( Create windows 7 or later installer disk ) why is that ?

No. That is not true. See Bootcamp User Interface - Apple Community for reference.

also when i searched on the net some ppl said that i can install windows 10 by modifying some files is thats safe ?

Please do not modify Bootcamp info.plist. It leads new issues.

thank you again and sorry for asking a lot of questions ^^"

No worries. 😉Better to ask questions, before you run into larger issues.
