Thunderbolt hub for Mac mini 2012

Is it possible to plug a thunderbolt hub into the thunderbolt port in my Mac mini late 2012?

I'm looking to gain an extra USB 2 port which can be used solely for a music synthesiser, as I'm currently experiencing sync issues through USB the ports.

Can you recommend a hub if this is possible please?

os is high sierra

Thank you, I've seen these whilst researching

i believe the port on my Mac mini late 2012 is thunderbolt 1.0.

will a thunderbolt 2.0 hub work on this?

Thunderbolt 2 will work with a Thunderbolt 1 computer (at Thunderbolt 1 speed).
