Watch Update Issues

With the recent software update on my watch, my workout app no longer tracks distance only time. Thought it might be the app so I downloaded a different app and it doesn't work on it either. I have checked setting and found nothing I thought would change the problem. Any suggestions?

Apple Watch 4 Activity App not working Watch updated to version 7.0 worked fine for days, now the activity app won't load or record anything. Updated to 7.0.1 same problem. Now happening on wife's watch as well. Have erased watch and re-paired it, still happening.

Just reset the Watch by pressing in the crown and side button until you see the Apple logo, then release both.
