Mac Mail Settings

On my older Mac, I was able to see the entire content of a new message in a right panel while all other messages were on the left. Now I have to double click to get the message to the right. It use to do this automatically. Any ideas on how to set up? I've tried many options none seem to work.

I cannot view mail messages without opening them in a separate window. What is wrong? I had issues with mail crashing and restarted mail as prescribed and immediately holding shift key to prevent messages opening and thereafter moved separator between list and messages to the left so that message display pane does not display anything so that I can one by one open them and discard them to prevent the email with un-kosher content to crash mail program. Once done , I cannot adjust the rightmost paneto show images so I have only two panes , mailboxes on left pane and message list on right pane, and I cannot adjust the pane to the right of list of messages to show message contents. How can I correct this? ( Imac 10,1 El capitan )

In Mail I can see the message preview but not the main message body. When I open Mail, I can see messages in the preview pane, but not the main body of the message. I'm using an iMac with OS 10.15.3 and Mail 13.0.

mac mail preview pane does not change Hi All. I have 4 email accounts in my MacMail. On one of them, with emails in the same thread, the preview pane does not change (to the previous reply) as I select the next message in the list (or from the oldest to the newest). I have to select a random other message then go back to the next in the list I want. Not an issue on another account (where all of my emails get copied to) Hope I've described this ok Any Ideas?? OSX Mojave MacMail 12.4

Be sure you're not in Classic More. Check in Mail > Preferences > Viewing.

If not then place your cursor at the right edge of the Mail window so you get the crosshairs. Then click and drag the right edge of the Apple Mail window to the left to reveal the message preview pane.

Is the message in the left side selected (highlighted) and you still don't see it in the right pane?
