Videos vanish after upgrading to Mojave

I just upgraded to Mojave. I did a clean install, then replaced my iTunes folder with the iTunes folder from my previous hard drive. Everything seems to be OK, except I can't find the videos I downloaded from the Internet.

I typed the name of a video into the search box, and - poof - all the missing videos magically appear in iTunes > Movies > Recently Added. But if I click on another folder (e.g. Movies or Genres), then click on the Recently Added folder again, it's empty. I have to type something into the search box each time I want to access one of my videos.

Can someone suggest a fix? In fact, rather than leave these videos in Recently Added, I think it would be better to move them into Movies or Downloaded. Can that be done? (There's one particular video that is displayed in THREE folders: Movies, Genres and Downloaded.)

Thanks.

Perhaps the missing content is stored in the Home Videos section of the library. The Home Videos section of the library may currently be hidden. To access it go to the Movies section, enable the sidebar, then click the word Edit that should appear to the right of the word Library at the top of the sidebar if you move the cursor there. Put a tick next to Home Videos, then click Done.

Note it is not unusual for the same items to appear in a number of different views of the library.
