Calendars lost from iPhone

New events are not syncing to my iPhone although computer, iPad, and iCloud have them. To try fixing the problem, I turned off Calendars in my phone's iCloud settings and told it to delete all Calendar events from the phone. Then after powering down the phone and turning it back on again, I turned Calendars back on in the iCloud settings, and chose to sync all events in Calendar settings. Now there are no iCloud calendars showing in the Calendars app. I pulled down on the page to make it refresh, but it didn't help. All other iCloud apps (Contacts etc) seem to be behaving properly and all other devices still have all of the calendars. How do I make the phone sync properly? Thanks.
