After latest update MacBook Pro restarts just after typing in password when logging in!

MacBook Pro 15'' Retina Late 2013 with dual Graphics.


Macbook Pro restarts/crashes every time when trying to log in after typing in the password and while the loading bar is on screen.

Macbook Pro also crashes when trying to boot into recovery mode, internet recovery mode or even when trying to reinstall Mojave from a usb drive! It always happens a few seconds into the black screen with the white Apple logo and loading bar!

Now the weirdest thing about this is when I boot into my Windows 10 Bootcamp partition everything works perfectly. No crashes at all even under load! Which makes me believe it's not a hardware issue.


Any suggestions how to fix this?

Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262


  Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5-15 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache,  etc.

You do not say what exact macOS you are currently running ?

I would suggest you re-install the combo update on top of your existing macOS to sort anomalies—

Download macOS Mojave 10.14.5 Combo Update - Apple Support https://support.apple.com/kb/DL2001
