safe eject GPU Service quit unexpectedly

I get this message every time I boot my mid-2014 MacBook Pro running Mojave.

It doesn't seem to affect anything, but I'd like to stop it appearing. I haven't been able to find anything helpful.

Grateful for any ideas.

Hey, virobono.

I see that you're receiving a message that the GPU service quit unexpectedly whenever you start your MacBook Pro. I'm happy to help.

How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac -- Reset the System Management Controller. Review the information under "How to reset the SMC on Mac notebooks" and determine if your battery is removable or nonremovable. Follow the steps for your MacBook Pro and test the issue once you're back to the desktop.

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac -- If resetting the SMC didn't resolve the issue, reset the nonvolatile random-access memory (NVRAM) using the steps in this article.

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac -- If you're still seeing the message, restart your Mac in safe mode and test how it responds. Afterwards, reboot normally and log into your own user account. Remember this when booting in safe mode: Graphics performance limited in macOS Recovery, safe mode, or Guest User mode

How to use Apple Diagnostics on your Mac -- If the resets and restart didn't resolved the issue, test the hardware on MacBook Pro.

Let me know how that goes, and take care!

Thanks for getting back to us and trying those steps, virobono. It's appreciated. Since you're still facing the issue, I'd like for you to contact Apple Support.

Apple - Support - Product Selection — After selecting this link, choose Mac notebooks > Startup or Power > The topic is not listed. Type "Eject GPU Service quit unexpectedly" to describe the issue, then choose how you'd like to start the conversation.

I have this problem as well. It started last week. Possibly after a software update. I can't exactly recall. I put my Macbook Air in Safe Mode. Issue did not pop up. I restarted and the error message came up again. I ran a diagnostic test, no problems found. Right now, it's just more of annoyance than anything else because my laptop seems fine and in excellent working condition.
