Magic Mouse Lagging

I have a new MacBook and when I connected it to my Magic Mouse there is consistent lag time. I am using an external Dell display so that I can have two monitors. I originally thought the external display was the problem but I connected the Magic Mouse to another mini-Mac with the same display and had no issues with lagging. It seems to only be this particular computer. As if the mouse and the computer are not talking to each other.

I have read all the forums and all the suggestions have yet to work. I have repaired the bluetooth connection, I have cleaned the mouse and I have upped the HDMI cord to ensure the hertz is at 60. I did find one article that talked about deleting the preferences for the Magic Mouse. However, when looking in the library > preferences, I could not find "com.apple.AppleMultitouchMouse.plist" or "com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.mouse.plist" as preference listings. Again not sure if that is part of the problem or not.

Below are my computer specs if needed. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
