Can I use my HomePod and samsung surrounding bar at the same time to watch a movie ? Or do I have to choose one of them at the time ?

How is the sound bar connected to the TV? When I select the HomePod in Apple TV audio it always turns the TV off, but I can turn that back on again, so both video and audio should go through the HDMI link to the TV, after which what the TV does with it should be up to you.

Using my Apple TV I can have sound through both the TV's speakers and HomePod at the same time. I would assume you'll be able to do the same.

So when I switch with the apple tv remote the audio from Apple TV to homepod it won't stop my surround sound bar? I'm not taking about the TV speakers I'm taking about a surround sound bar connected to my TV.
It's connected by Bluetooth. It's a Samsung curved sound bar
I suppose I must choose one of them without the choice to use both at the same time?
I guess it's a no?
As far as I am aware you can choose both. Choose the HomePods, and then if needed reselect the HDMI output which may have been turned off. Multiple speakers are supported.
