I just set up a new imac which has Home and I see my Homepod. However is continues to show configuring (while playing music that i have no control over) Do I only control using my phone? Am I missing something?

I had to reset the iphone and now it shows. Still from the Mac it seems as though i can only pause & play not access a playlist. Confusing.
Maybe I'm just stupid, but I do not see how i control from my Mac. From the phone i can access anything i want. However from the Mac the experience is nothing like the phone. All it shows is Configuring, without access to playlists, controls, etc.
Can HomePod be controlled by Home App on iMAc (not phone)
