Boot Camp always freezes while partitioning

Despite running the latest macOS (Mojave version 10.14.5) and using the attempting with every 64-bit ISO of Windows 10 currently available (there are May 2019 & October 2018 versions), Boot Camp installation has frozen more than half a dozen times for me. Fortunately I've managed to reset and start again, multiple times. But it never gets beyond partitioning, and I see no articles addressing this particular issue.

iMac 27" 5K, macOS 10.14

Have you tried with W10 1803 (April) ISO? See http://windowsiso.net .

What is the year/model of your Mac (do not post the serial number)?

I did try that older ISO, it did not work.

But things appear to be working now.

All my attempts to reset involved a Time Machine backup. At the counsel of Apple Support, I tried a macOS reinstall. After this, Boot Camp worked as advertised.
