I have lost my recovery key. However fortunatley I do remember my password and I have my trusted device. However if I try and follow the instructions below:
It doesn't work because there is no 'Replace lost key' option in UI (see below) I am concerend in case I loose my trusted device......

There is no recovery key anymore once you upgrade your account from the old two-step verification from years ago to the modern two-factor verification.
It's definitely good you are considering what would happen if you lost your trusted device though!
Fortunately, the solution is you can add additional trusted phone numbers with which to a receive a verification code. They can even be land-line numbers since it's done via phone-call / recorded message (not text messages) such as that of a friend or family member. This shows you how to add an additional trusted phone number:
